At 'Dental on Seventh' we aim to provide quality patient care at affordable cost.

Fees for proposed treatment will be estimated for you as closely as it is possible to predict from the diagnosis made for you, since we recognise that the cost of dentistry in NZ is a bit of a burden for many people.

[If we pointed out that the cost is low here compared with other western countries, we would understand if you have difficulty with that!]

When there are treatment choices, we endeavour to provide comparative costings prior, as we realize that this is a very important factor for most people when faced with making a choice. In those cases where we recognise beforehand that there is a high probability that part of the diagnosis may need to be reviewed during treatment, we generally try to anticipate this by providing a 'worst case' costing scenario; [It is always nice to bill less than estimate!]

However, there are many situations that arise when treatment-indications alter and this common situation can be a challenge for us as practitioners. We need to be able to rely on having your understanding and acceptance on those few occasions when we just might meet an entirely unexpected situation during provision of treatment that has been planned and costed, but where a change in direction really needs to be taken.

It is for these reasons that we prefer not to 'QUOTE", since time and again it is found to be inappropriate.
Mostly, we try to start with estimating what we believe may be the most ideal treatment plan for your circumstances, since we believe that you would prefer to hear what that may comprise.

However, it is not uncommon for patients to find such a plan to be financially too burdensome, whether in the short term, or generally; We are very comfortable with the idea of making treatment compromises by way of discussion with you and ultimately we hope to reach a satisfactory agreement on a plan that we all are reasonably comfortable with. We aim also to ensure that you also have an appropriate understanding and expectation in regard to the expected outcome following those alterations.

Our practice policy is that we require payment on the day of treatment.

We accept all major credit cards, cash, cheque, direct credit and Activa. We also offer Farmers Card and Q-Card payment methods. This is just another way we strive to offer the very best service for you - our potential and existing patients.

Indicative prices for examination and x-rays - $100 and take-home whitening kit - $460
